For the kite surfing enthusiast or beginner, Sazani Beach offers clear warm water with private beach access for you to launch 20 meters from your room.
The wind is generally controlled by the northeast and southeast monsoons. The Southeast monsoon blows from April to November the remainder of the year is governed by the Northeast monsoon. These on shore trade winds are reinforced by local sea breezes providing afternoon wind speeds of up to force 6.
Secure access to the lagoon provides the perfect setting for the novice leading out to reef breaks 800m from the shore for the more adventurous, as featured in the UK’s premier kite surf magazine, Kite Surf. Lessons and back up support are provided by Kiteboarding Zanzibar, who operate out of Sazani Beach.
